Trip to Oregon Family

Our trip to Oregon was very successful. The kids did great on the airplane, and they really enjoyed spending time with family. We spent some of our trip in Forest Grove, and some of it on the McKenzie River outside of Eugene. The weather was in the 70's to low 80's the majority of the trip so we could not have asked for better weather. We sure do miss you guys. We hate leaving.

Adrienne lives on the Mckenzie River so we got to camp on her upper deck and listen to Beaver jumping in the water and geese fishing for their food. We also were near an Osprey nest, so we got to see the mother catching food for her little birdies.

Fish Camp

Beautiful King Salmon are running.

Dorothy took us to her fish camp across the river from Bethel. They catch the salmon then they spend much of June cutting, drying, and smoking fish to eat all year long. Dorothy gave Ruby fish soup, and Ruby ate the fish heart. She loved it!

Moxy and this blue car. He became really possessive over this car. Whenever someone tried to play in it, he would say "no! out!" He would push Ruby out too. Well, he would try. I found him hiding on the other side of the shed playing in his car. He was very disappointed and surprised that I found him.

Remember the kid that Ruby put in a head lock at a fiddle dance a while back, well he invited her to his birthday party.




Kids are excited about Pinata spiderman. Ruby actually got a few pieces out of this pinata.
