December Sunrises and Sunsets.

Beautiful sunrise behind our christmas tree this morning. I love the sunrises, sun came up at about 10:30AM.

Greg took these pictures of the sunset. He said that all the neighbors came out of their houses and were taking pictures because it was a strange setting. Seemed like something was happening.

This is a man out ice fishing on the river. Because of our warm weather, there is a lot of water that came up. This guy probably has lots of experience.

Christmas Cookies

Ruby and Isabel making cookies. This took about 5 minutes, they would grab the dough, squish it into the sugar, then try to eat it. I had to grab it from their hands before it made it to their mouth. They were so cute. They really got into it, and could hardly wait for them to come out of the oven.

Cedar Firewood Rack

Here is the finished firewood rack. Greg made it from Bethel lumber. I think it looks really beautiful. Now he doesn't have to go back and forth all winter long with the firewood.

Halloween Pictures

Ruby went out trick or treating with Isabel's family. She went as super woman. Greg had her dressed for the cold weather, but at least you could see the cape.

Moxy got to go on uncle Andrew's snow machine. Up and down the street.

Getting Ready for the Cold

We already have cabin fever. Playing batman and robber.

Moxy has his superman cape.

The snow is all around us. The main river has ice on it, and this is the first day that the wind isn't making us miserable Love the sun....love the snow. :)

I painted the walls while Greg was out

This is the wall before.
Here is the wall painted Green. My neighbor says green is soothing. I like the wall a lot. Greg left to go fire wood collecting and I thought it would be fun to surprise him when he returned. Also, if he were here he would have been sweating the project.

Fruity French Toast by Greg Simmons

I had to share this beautiful piece of french toast that Greg grilled.  This is smothered in strawberry butter maple syrup.  Down below he made french toast with the tundra blueberries.  I actually eat this french toast because it is darn good.  :)

This is a picture of the kiddos savoring every bite.

End of Fall, winter near

Pretty fall colors on the gweek.. Good bye Fall.
Sunset on the Gweek.
One last ride.
Happy to be on water.
Barge transporting big trucks and work stuff, probably to the mine.  They need this stuff because right now the mine pit is two miles long and 1 mile wide.  Yuck.
These mountains are now snow capped.  I sure do miss them.  Cannot wait until spring.
